Open an E-Currency
Exchange Account
This used to be a mandatory step in funding your e-currency
accounts. For you to fund one of your e-currency accounts, you needed to use
the services of an e-currency exchange account. You would open an account
with one of the exchangers, link in your e-currency accounts to them, send
money to the exchanger and they would fund your e-currency account. They
would do all of this for fees of course. If you paid with credit card vs.
money order for example, these fees would increase.

As of this writing, DXInOne now allows us to link our bank
accounts directly to our DXInOne account and transfer money directly from
our banks. Depending on the services your bank offers, dictates how much you
pay for this service. My understanding for example is Bank of America (BOA)
offers an Advantage checking account you need to keep a minimum balance of
$5000 in order to waive certain fees. Having an Advantage account with BOA
allows you to transfer funds into your DXInOne account for free. Your bank
may offer the same kind of service, but you will have to check with your
bank to see what their fees are. This is just one example of not needing an
E-Currency Exchange service.
Another
new option is to use a company called AlertPay.
AlertPay is
not only an e-currency service but can also be used as your e-currency exchange service to fund
your e-Gold
e-currency account and remove money as well. You can also connect
your bank account to so for a small fee, you can basically transfer
funds from e-Gold to/from your bank account using AlertPay
as the go-between account. This is a huge convenience.
So, for the time being, I still suggest you create multiple
e-currency exchange accounts, create an
AlertPay
account and link your e-currency
accounts to AlertPay. You can certainly still open an e-currency exchange
account, like London Gold Exchange for example, but it's really not
necessary any more.
*** Remember ** If you choose to fund your
e-currency account, you only need to fund one
(1) of of them to transfer funds into DXInOne. You do not need to fund
multiple e-currency accounts. These accounts will be used primarily for
OutXchanges.
